Why clients choose it
What dermaplaning does
- Smoother skin. Removes the buildup of dead skin cells on the surface.
- A brighter look. Reveals fresher-looking skin underneath.
- No more peach fuzz. Fine facial hair comes off, so skin feels soft and smooth.
- Easier makeup. Foundation goes on more evenly over a smooth surface.
- Customized. On its own, or added to a facial that suits your skin for an extra exfoliation step.

Your visit
How it works
- Skin check. We look at your skin and ask about your products, medications and recent treatments.
- Cleanse. Your skin is cleansed and dried so the blade glides smoothly.
- Dermaplane. A sterile blade is moved in short, light strokes to lift dead skin and peach fuzz.
- Soothe and protect. We finish with a calming moisturizer and SPF, or go straight into your facial.
Myth busted
Will my hair grow back thicker?
No. Dermaplaning doesn’t make facial hair grow back thicker, darker or faster. It removes hair at the surface without changing the hair follicle.
As the hair grows back, its blunt tip can feel a little different to the touch for a short time. That’s all.

Questions
Questions
Is there any downtime?
Little to none. Skin can look slightly pink or feel sensitive right after, and that usually settles quickly. Skip harsh exfoliants and retinoids for 24 to 48 hours, and wear SPF 30 or higher.
How often can I get it?
Usually every 3 to 4 weeks, depending on your skin, your hair growth and your goals. More often isn’t better, so we’ll set the timing with you.
Can I add it to my facial?
Yes, to a facial that suits your skin. It removes dead skin and peach fuzz first, so your skin is smoother at the end. Not every skin condition is right for combining treatments, and we’ll help you choose.
Can I get it with active acne?
Not over active, inflamed breakouts. Tell us before you book if you have acne or use prescription acne treatments. The Acne Bootcamp may be the better place to start.
More about dermaplaning
A physical exfoliation
Dermaplaning uses a specialized blade instead of acids or grains. It lifts the top layer of dead skin cells and the fine vellus hair that traps oil and makeup, so the surface is smoother and your skincare can work on fresh skin.
On its own or in a facial
As a quick treatment, it leaves skin soft and ready for makeup. Added to a suitable facial, it is the exfoliation step before cleansing, masks and serums. We choose what fits your skin on the day.
Keeping results
Dead skin and peach fuzz build up again over a few weeks, which is why sessions are usually 3 to 4 weeks apart. Daily SPF and a gentle routine keep skin looking fresh in between.
