Does microneedling hurt?
We apply numbing cream first, so the Dermapen 4 usually feels like light pressure and vibration.
Can I go to work the next day?
Most people do. Expect pinkness like a mild sunburn for 24 to 48 hours and some dryness for a few days. Skip makeup for the first 24 hours.
Do you add PRP?
No. Our microneedling is done without PRP.
What does microneedling cost?
$350 a session with the Dermapen 4. Most scar and texture plans need 3, so the Scar & Texture package is 3 sessions for $899. Packages can be paid monthly with Affirm.
Is microneedling safe for dark skin?
The Dermapen 4 is FDA-cleared for skin types I to V. It uses no heat or light, which lowers the risk of dark marks when you follow aftercare and wear SPF. For the deepest skin tone (type VI) we talk through options at your consultation.
Microneedling or laser for my scars?
For pitted acne scars and texture, microneedling is usually where we start. If you also have redness or dark marks, we may add laser toning or a peel to your plan.

Why the device matters
The Dermapen 4 uses 16 fine needles that enter the skin vertically at a set depth. Older rollers drag needles at an angle and can tear the skin. Clean vertical channels trigger a clean healing response.
Depth set for your concern
Shallow settings refresh texture and tone, and deeper settings (1.5 to 2.0 mm) are used for acne scars. We adjust depth zone by zone during the treatment.

Aftercare
